DIY FLOWER HEADBAND
This tutorial is on how to make a flower headband that can be used for any occasion. This DIY project is fun and easy!
SUPPLIES:
Synthetic fabric
Circle template
Scissors
Candle
Needle
Black thread
Lace
Headband
Beads
Felt
Draw circle templates on paper which are shown above
Size 1 circle measures 2 1/2inches, size 2: 3inches, size 3: 4 1/2inches, size 4: 5inches
Cut out templates
Trace circle templates on fabric
Cut out fabric circles
Cut out (3) size 4 circles
Cut out (3) size 3 circles
Cut out (4) size 2 circles
Cut out (4) size 1 circles
Cut out (1) size 3 circle using lace fabric
Cut out (1) size 2 circle using lace fabric
Cut out (1) size 1 circle using lace fabric
Then cut 4 slits on each circle creating 4 sections
Light a candle and place one section of the fabric circle at a time a few inches above the candle
Once the heat of the candle reaches the fabric, the fabric will curl like a rose petal
Complete all sections of the fabric and lace circles
Once you are finished with each circle, it should look like the picture shown below
Place flower petals on top of each other starting from the largest to smallest
Place lace petals above fabric petals
Sew petals together, then sew beads on top of flower
Cut felt in a circle then turn over the flower
Add hot glue to back of flower then place headband on flower
Then place felt circle on top of headband
And you are done! Finished product
